Tim Lundy CSEP, event planner, designer and trained chef has been a vital part of the special events industry for 27+ years. His event design and planning company, Distinctive Design Events, is an award winning events company and has been in operation for 21 years. DDE, under Tim’s creative spirit, has produced major corporate events for the Olympics, International News Group-London, Fortune 100 Companies worldwide and Eastern US Fortune 500 Companies.

Tim began his career as a trained chef and worked as an ‘a la minute’ chef in fine dining restaurants from New York to Atlanta. He is trained in Continental Culinary cuisine and is well versed in food & wine pairings. He presently owns a Gourmet Foods and Fine Wines food establishment, Rosewood Market, in Highlands, North Carolina. This Blue Ridge Mountain-top jewel in a high-end summer resort is another award winning company for menu design and culinary events throughout the Southeastern United States. Rosewood has a high-end catering division complete with fine dining, Continental service and event production.

Mr. Lundy has produced major weddings and social events

throughout North America and the Caribbean. His most recent award winning wedding was produced for a fashion designer and the wedding transpired in Sarasota, Florida at the Ringling Museum. Tim is a repeat speaker at Event Solutions EXPO, The Special Event, ARA, HOSTEX (Canada), Association of Bridal Consultants, NACE, ICA, & National Restaurant Conferences. Mr. Lundy’s featured topics are: event design, event planning, catering & menu design, as well as event production.

Tim Lundy CSEP was awarded his professional designation as a Certified Special Events Professional through the International Special Events Society in 1995 in Toronto, Canada. He was the International President of ISES in 1997-1998 and has been on the Boards of NACE (National Association of Catering Executives), ISES, AIWF (American Institute of Wine & Food), and ICA (International Caterers Association). Tim is currently the President Elect for ICA. Mr. Lundy is a fly fisherman and avid snow skier in his spare time. Tim is totally wired to the food and wine experience whether for business or personal pleasure as well as all forms of design.
