Event Solutions Magazine Cover Contest
Is your event cover-worthy? Now you can find out. Event Solutions announces its first-ever Cover Contest, inviting you to submit your best event photos for a chance to be on the cover of the most-read magazine in the events industry.
The winner of the 2009 Cover Contest will be featured on the cover of the January issue of Event Solutions, plus in the “on the cover” section in that month’s editorial coverage. You will receive a framed copy of your cover, and could also be mentioned in Solutions :: eNews and featured on event-solutions.com.
Didn’t make the Sept. 1 deadline for the January 2009 issue? You can still submit your photos — entries will be accepted on an ongoing basis, so enter your best pictures now and you may be featured on a future cover of Event Solutions!
Photos are chosen based on how well they fit within each issue’s themes and/or focus sections, as well as the overall quality of the image in terms of resolution, composition and event design.
Submission Process
You may submit photos for the cover contest in either of the following two ways:
1. Upload files: Upload your photos to us. Please write COVER CONTEST in the “Comments” section. Submissions not designated as such will not be considered. Vendor/partner information should also be included here (see guidelines below).
2. Mail a CD: You may send your submissions on CD to Event Solutions Cover Contest, 4667 S. Lakeshore Dr., Ste. 2, Tempe, AZ 85282.
Guidelines
For your best chances of being selected, your images should meet the requirements listed below. NO PHOTOS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT FULL PHOTO CREDIT INFORMATION.
- Images must be high-resolution digital, at least 300 dpi (2,000 x 3,000 pixels).
- Tiff or Jpg.
- You may use professional packaging software (Zip, RAR, StuffIt, etc.).
- Vertical images work best.
- Professional grade image – good focus and composition
- Images must be available for editorial/design use at no cost to Event Solutions.
- Images must have the ‘Event Solutions look’: eye-catching, excellent composition and showing outstanding event decor/design/production.
- By submitting the photo to Event Solutions, you certify that you have the legal right to the photo, or have permission from the photographer or company, who is credited for the photo. You also give ES permission to use the photo at our discretion, including but not limited to the cover.
- CREDITING the photo fully is of utmost importance. You are responsible for submitting an accurate and complete list of any photographers, caterers, lighting companies, florists, venue and any other suppliers/vendors that should be mentioned. More information makes it more likely we will feel confident using your photo. Event Solutions is not liable for use of any photos that have not been properly credited.
