The Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel in St. Petersburg, Russia, welcomed the official delegations of China and India for the G-8 Summit meeting. IMEX was declared “Best Trade Show” at the 2006 Association of Exhibition Organisers Excellence Awards luncheon held in London. Catering By McCormick & Schmick’s, a catering division of McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, recognized Andrea Henley for earning the designation of Certified Professional Catering Executive from the National Association of Catering Executives. New York-based event design and production company Barkley Kalpak Associates (BKA) won an ISES Big Apple Award for “Best Corporate Event.” Andrew Jackson Litz, sales and marketing account coordinator, and Angela Stassi, marketing manager, accepted the Big Apple Award on behalf of the BKA team. Inogen Inc. was presented with the Medical Marketing Association’s Bronze In-Awe Award for its trade show booth. The company was conceived as an entrepreneurial student project at the University of California-Santa Barbara. The Greensboro Merchants Association named Exclamations Catering “Retailer of the Year.” The National Speakers Association (NSA), an organization for professional speakers, inducted Lenora Billings-Harris of Greensboro, N.C., as 2006-2007 national president at its NSA 2006 National Convention in Orlando, Fla.
