At the 2007 Event Solutions Idea Factory in Miami, attendees, media and guests received a passionate welcome at the opening night reception. Titled “Passionatta,” the event was conceptualized to reflect the essence of passion — passion for what event professionals do, passion for our creations and the passion to exceed all expectations.

To bring this vision to life, Executive Producer Mona Meretsky (COMCOR) formed a team of true industry visionaries, including Ruddy Sanchez and Alexandra and Bettina Sliva (New Century Dance Company), Mark Baker (Mark Baker Creative), Fé Domenech (The Event Firm) and John Rossetti (2Taste Catering), in addition to nearly 30 other companies.

The team’s challenge was to produce an event at Miami hotspot Mansion for an audience of people who create incredible events for a living and were looking for the newest ideas. Accordingly, they designed a sumptuous atmosphere that touched all the senses and added elements that surprised even the most experienced event pros in attendance.

One of the many surprises was the Decadent Oasis, the space created and designed by Fé Domenech of The Event Firm. The interactive floralscapes reinforced the theme and created interaction among other guests. In contrast to the creative chaos, floral water fountains and multitudes of candles produced a sense of tranquility.

1 Domenech draped this room at Mansion with over 300 yards of soft golden satin fabrics while incorporating Manion’s existing chandeliers. The fabric enhanced the theme and facilitated lighting designer Mark Baker’s atmospheric lighting.

2 Elephant sculptures supplied by The Event Firm wore “costumes,” designed by Domenech, that were created with hundreds of tiny jewel-toned button daisy flowers.

3 A thick carpet of rose petals added not only a sensual look but a provocative fragrance. Rose petals were provided by The Event Firm.

4 Contrasting lounge furniture from Unique Option Eventive Furniture and Décor provided seating that allowed guests to interact with each other as well as the exotic environment.

5 Interactive floralscape, an over-the-top fresh floral and fruit creation by Domenech, housed a live albino python (provided by New Century Dance Company) — definitely a spontaneous conversation starter.
