Listen Up
Wondering why your attendees are nodding off? It could be your content — or it could be something simpler: can they hear you? With its AMP-31C6 speakers, OWI Inc. aims to solve at least one cause of meeting-room narcolepsy — bad sound.
Designed specifically to address corporate presentation audio requirements, the new speakers allow input from three different sources, such as a computer, microphone, DVD player or projector. Each self-powered speaker will support three attached nonpowered speakers and can support 50 speakers on one line from the wall-mounted input. Video-teleconferencing suites, audio-conferencing and training rooms are ideal uses for the AMP-31C6.

That Inner Light
![]()
Next month, Exponents Inc. will launch a product that’s full of inner light — Lumiture Illuminated Architecture. A structural illuminated display system, Lumiture consists of a series of vertical frames and horizontal ceilings. While the illuminated frames support graphics, product displays, counters and light boxes, the ceilings incorporate tension fabric and lighting valances, among other materials. The overall result is of lighting effects emanating from inside the structure itself. And it’s easy on the budget as well as the eyes — the scale of the system allows designers to create large exhibits with fewer components, keeping shipping and setup costs down.
