Looking for the perfect décor element to go with your NASCAR theme? RaceCoolers, giant beverage coolers made from official used NASCAR tires, will be available starting next month. Each cooler is designed to hold 78 long-neck bottles or 144 cans, together with 40 pounds of ice. The only product authorized to be manufactured from actual tires used on the NASCAR circuit, the RaceCooler weighs 32 pounds without bottles or ice. The product is manufactured by inserting an injection-molded liner inside an actual used tire, adding to it an aluminum-rimmed base, drain plug and two heavy-duty, rubber-padded metal handles. The initial product run costs $299 plus shipping and handling, and is only available online.
