Computer-Controlled Cutting Offers New Options
Rose Brand’s computer-controlled cutting service opens the door to new design possibilities. CAD or vector drawing files can be used to produce finished cut pieces within tight tolerances and with very high repeatability, to achieve extraordinary patterns.
Rose Brand’s Precision Cut Fabric won the Lighting Design International award for best debuting product at the LDI Entertainment Technology Show in Orlando last November and precision-cut poly silk was used for the Tony Awards broadcast.
The precision-cut process works best on synthetic fabrics. It’s offered in single panels up to 6x35 feet. Larger pieces can be manufactured by seaming together multiple panels.

TiMax Creates Unique 3D Sound Effects
Top DJ Carl Cox entertained the audience at Matter London’s first birthday party last fall, using the 3D room sound effects created by a TiMax audio delay matrix and triggered live via an M Audio Oxygen8 MIDI keyboard.
Subtle or extreme sound movement effects, such as mix elements spinning or zig-zagging around the room in different directions, can by triggered in TiMax by the DJ using the MIDI keyboard.

Create a More Stable Surface for Displays
Event product developer Meese Orbitron Dunne Co. has unveiled a line of six colored pedestal capitals that can heighten the visual appeal of art and floral displays and provided a wider surface at the same time.
Designed for placement on top of the company’s line of brick display pedestals and columns, the colored pedestal capitals are available in textured granite, blackstone, millstone, sandstone, ivory and white.
The pedestal capitals add about 2 inches to the pedestal’s height, and widen the top with a flat platform suitable for placing floral bouquets, artwork, products for catalog photography or other items for display.
They are rotationally molded from durable, weatherproof polyethylene plastic so they resist scrapes, scratches and stains and wipe clean with common household cleaning agents.
