Stop Looking Fishy

Plastic buckets, metal pails and fish bowls — the industry’s way of soliciting business cards and information for contests, suggestions and surveys. But is that really the only way? Vista System International didn’t think so, so it created something that was actually meant for the job it was doing — a Suggestion Box. At nearly a foot tall and 6 inches wide, the Suggestion Box can be placed on a table or can sit on a stand-alone post. Graphics can be changed on the box to reflect the content, so use it for your survey responses, business cards or raffle tickets — and leave the goldfish bowls to the guppies.

Less Stress, More Display

When it comes to trade shows and event displays, portability is key. Tables, banners and marketing materials are hard enough to cart around without the added stress of carrying and setting up racks and stands. PosterGarden has tried to make that process as easy as possible with its new line of portable displays, the Flora and Lonicera banner stands and the Alisma brochure rack. Each display was designed for easy setup and tear-down without sacrificing on style. The banner stands are built to resist bending — and best of all, there aren’t any of those tiny detachable pieces that always end up under the floor mat in your car.

Looking for Compatability?

 Aztec TentsCourtesy: Aztec Tents
For anyone who’s ever been frustrated with the incompatibility of different tent companies’ products, Torrance, Calif.-based Aztec Tents has a solution. The company has introduced a series of products — appropriately called “Compatible-Plus” — of tents and individual components that are compatible with other models on the market. For Aztec President Chuck Miller, it’s all about freedom of choice. “For decades, our industry’s customers have been held to the standards by which their specific vendors operate,” he said in a release. “Aztec Tents … is dedicated to changing that and providing customers the freedom to increase or modify their tenting inventory from the best available source.”

Image is everything. Image

Image is everything. Image sells even better than the actual product. I always dreamed of working in the advertising industry and I never stop reading blogs with tips on how to increase a product's value by good advertising. I guess this is why I'm here. I get a lot of tips and actual events from the market. You guys really keep me informed and I'd like to thank you for that. But I'm deviating from my initial idea. I wanted to say that lately there have been many new shops in my block and they all had pamphlets and brochures distributed in order to let us know they're open. These pamphlets were made using some poor quality printing services and this made me think these stores are not gonna offer some quality services if they don't even respect their own image.
