The production of the Spotlight Awards reflected the venue’s Old World glamour.A big hit and new tradition! Producer Eddie Diaz, Encore Creations, joins the fun, posing on the step and repeat, which was provided by Dream World Backdrops.The cocktail reception was held in the lobby and upper reception area of the elegant Olympia Theater, with passed hors d’oeuvres from Touch Catering.Executive Producer Steve Hand took to the stage he designed and set a tone of elegance, humor and charm for the awards presentations that followed.Entertainment Producer Anthony Bollotta, Bollotta Entertainment, coordinated several humorous performances put on by entertainers from Bollotta Entertainment, Dorene Collier’s Event Show Productions, Needemann Brothers and Out to Lunch.The first Miss Spotlight, Morgan Hand, handed the award statues to the presenters, initiating a tradition that will be continued in future Spotlight Awards.The opening number by Dorene Collier’s Event Show Productions captured the look and feel of performances that might have appeared at the Olympia in its heyday. Lighting was designed by Noah Hammer.Anthony Bollotta and Jorge Luis Abreu crooned “Here’s to the Winners” as a tribute to previous honorees scrolled across the screen. The cameras, screen and projectors were provided by Live! Technologies.
