Welcome Reception
Opening Event Extends Mile-High Welcome
Published in December 2006 The Idea Factory 2006 in Review

Hundreds enjoyed the best of Denver’s hospitality at a mile-high Welcome Reception, which set the tone for the rest of The Idea Factory 2006.
Denver’s historic Mile High Station, once known as the Midwest Steel and Ironworks building, was transformed into a carnival-like atmosphere, kicking off four days of events, education and expo.
Members of the Colorado Festivals & Events Association took full advantage of the versatile venue’s best attributes, filling space that once employed hundreds of ironworkers and craftsmen with food, fun and festival.
While mixing with old friends and new acquaintances, guests were treated to an unmatched mix of local companies showcasing their audio-visual, décor, entertainment, catering and other event talents.
