While security lines and overbooked flights have turned travel into a headache for many, there are a few bright spots in the future for road warriors looking for a little relief, according to a recent report by trendspotters at JWT.

Forget the cab: If you need some wheels, download a new app called Uber. It will allow you to call a car and driver to pick you up and get you where you want to go. The service is now available in San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Paris and Washington D.C. And you don’t have worry about cash. They’ll charge your pre-approved credit card, including the tip.

Ladies only: Some hotels are reviving the women’s-only floor as a way of providing extra peace of mind to solo women travelers. Some even require a key card to get access to the floor. To make the deal even sweeter, some of these hotels cater to lady travelers with room amenities like fashion magazines, hair styling tools and extra hangers.

Social seating: Look for more booking agents to ask users to sign in with their social media accounts in order to hand-pick their seating arrangements. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is rumored to be planning to offer flyers a chance to choose seat mates based on social media profiles.
