The Gaylord Palms in adjacent Kissimmee recently hosted a fam trip for planners to showcase its $50 million renovation. In addition to updating all 1,406 guest rooms, the property launched a new two-story Wreckers Sports Bar that features a 37-foot sports screen, the expansive outdoor Coquina Lawn, an adult-only South Beach pool area with bar and restaurant and a family water park. As part of the fam fun, the Gaylord staff (“Stars”) took the stage at the Wreckers for a rollicking flash dance.

On the restaurant scene, a new Fogo de Chão opened on International Drive. The Brazilian steakhouse features an outdoor patio and five private and semi-private dining rooms for group dining.

The Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, known as America’s longest running dinner attraction, will debut its first new show since 2007 on June 26. Guests will dine as they witness intricate battles with authentic weaponry and armor. This perennial favorite for groups will also upgrade its menu.
