Ice is hot north of the border, according to Business Edge, a biweekly news magazine serving the Canadian province Alberta.
The publication reports that ice companies are pulling in record business these days — and it’s not just because Canadians like the cold stuff. Clients are calling from Dubai, Toronto, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Bali.
“It’s the interaction between man, woman and the actual ice itself,” Robert Amato, vice president of marketing and operations for specialty ice supplier The Iceman, was quoted as saying in the article. “It’s about realizing that ice can be used in so many different ways — it’s not just a swan anymore.”
