Event Solutions Announces New Leadership for Industry-Leading Magazine, Website, Conference & Tradeshow
Event Solutions announced today the promotion of Meredith McIlmoyle to publisher of Event Solutions magazine, and Rachel Globus to editor in chief.
McIlmoyle brings more than 15 years’ experience managing relationships with partners and clients across a broad spectrum of the event industry. She joined Event Solutions in January 2001, and has since excelled in a number of roles including magazine sales, tradeshow sales, sales management, and executive conference management before assuming the lead role as publisher. She replaces Pat McCarrell, who left the company to start his own business.
Rachel Globus, former managing editor of Event Solutions magazine, is moving into the lead editorial role as editor in chief of the trade publication, distributed to 30,000 corporate, association, non-profit and independent event professionals in the United States and beyond. She will continue in her role as education director for Event Solutions’ award-winning Conference & Tradeshow.
In her new position, Globus will draw on her years’ experience with connecting event pros with the information they need in print, online and through live events. A leading industry journalist and frequent speaker, Globus is also an active member of the L.A.-area chapter of the International Special Events Society, recently participating as an event Master in the chapter’s “Meet the Masters” series.
