Drape Kings, an event drape rental company based in North Bergen, N.J., has provided multiple permanent drape installations for the re-opening of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York.

The museum is centered on the aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Intrepid. During the 22-month refurbishment process, Drape Kings helped camouflage the Intrepid’s new, interactive mobile exhibits throughout the museum, and provided drape to sub-divide areas of the 720-foot long Hangar Deck, allowing for custom spaces for meetings and events. In addition to its visual appeal, the drape aids in the acoustic balance and sound travel throughout.

“It is an honor to be a part of this living history, especially since my father served on the Intrepid in World War II” said Dru Whitacre, founder and president of Drape Kings.

The company will continue to provide event-specific drape to the Intrepid as needed.
