Diamonds Light Up the Emmys

Diamonds were everywhere September 21 as the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards celebrated their diamond anniversary. The show was held at the Nokia Theater L.A. in downtown Los Angeles, and it took nothing short of a small army to create the prestigious event.
Produced by Sequoia Productions, the striking design included diamond chandeliers and pink roses, creating a stunning contrast to the black background.
Classic Party Rentals provided the tables, covered with rich black linens by BBJ Linen and accented with 650 centerpieces made of brilliant pink, Shocking Versilia roses by floral provider LA Premier.
To create each centerpiece, Kevin Lee, LA Premier owner and head designer, created vases of black velvet with a band of rhinestones to mirror the look of a diamond bracelet on a woman’s gloved hand. It took five months and 30 floral designers to conceptualize and create the centerpieces.
Chameleon Chair Collection provided the chairs, while Unique Tabletop Rentals provided the dinnerware.
Greco Décor provided 46,000 square feet of Star Field drapes throughout the space to give the room its dramatic look, and Goodman Audio Services provided the sound.
Guests received smooth, dark chocolate by Dove both at their seats and as they mingled throughout the space.
In honor of the Emmy’s diamond anniversary, Mark Boone, designer for Architectural Digest, combined vibrant pink roses with diamonds for the Architectural Digest Greenroom. The Spiraled Stem Floral Design created a sparkling white floral centerpiece that sat just below a Hearts On Fire diamond chandelier made with over 3,300 conflict-free diamonds weighing in at 1,000 carats.
Providing entertainment was the Norm Roper Orchestra and Cubano Classico with featured singer Michaelina.
