Event Solutions’ PR and Marketing Director Crystal Weaver gave event entrepreneurs a primer in self promotion during her session, “Getting the Attention You Deserve: Case Studies from the Road,” presented with contributions from SLK Creative, a boutique marketing and public relations firm for the special events industry.
Weaver’s presentation was one over a hundred classes on offer during the Event Solutions Idea Factory and catersource Conference & Tradeshow on wide-ranging topics, from creating branded environments, to health-conscious cuisine, to event greening, to networking strategies.
“Event professionals and caterers should see that having good media relationships is just like having good business relationships — communicating well, having your information ready and being able to show passion for what you do,” said Weaver.
