The British financial advisory company wanted to celebrate a year of outstanding results and commemorate the final incentive program for its top agents, so they turned to Faith Moore, president of FMA Events for help. At at 6:45 p.m. on a warm July night, 450 guests donning black tie attire walked the red carpet into the Wang Citi Center Theater in Boston to experience an event that took over a year to plan.

“As their results had soared into the stratosphere, we wanted to mirror this ‘gravity-defying’ feat with an entire evening that was surprising, dramatic, over-the-top and celebratory,” said Moore.

Upon entering the grand theater, guests were greeted with the sounds of “What a Wonderful World” played by a live band as blue lighting and fog drenched the stage and surrounding areas in a heavenly hue.

“There were giant fabric chandeliers lit in blue and a sparkling backdrop especially designed with the client’s logo of an “O” in mirrored tiles, reflecting the lights and the setting while placing the focus the honored guests and their achievements,” said Moore. “The placement of the tables on the stage reinforced this — the guests realized that they were in fact the featured act!

As dinner commenced, the guests were serenaded by the melodic sounds of a 16-piece big band that plade Frank Sinatra classics. Then, in between courses, a series of cirque performers appeared to defy gravity as they floated over the scene, much to the delight of the guests below.

The final act featured “Mirror Man,”an aerial acrobatic dancer who descended onto the stage, put on a brief dance, and then led the crowd into the lobby for a dance party with a DJ Moore flew in from Europe just for the occasion.

To cap off the event, Moore arranged for formal photos of each couple to be delivered to their hotel rooms before they returned for the evening, giving them permanent memories of an evening to remember.
