Shine, Sparkle, Shimmer for the Season

What’s the cool look for holiday centerpieces this season? White is the color of choice, laden with sparkles, snow and natural touches such as pine boughs and traditional ornaments.

According toChristmas World in Frankfurt, the leading industry tradeshow for the holiday décor market, we will see lots of artificial snow, white floral and glitter effects. Tree and table decorations will be oriented towards classic elements, such as baubles, stars, angels and nativity figures. Demand for LED lighting is also high, according to the exhibitors at Christmas World.

J. Robbin Yelverton co-owner of Blumz by JRDesigns Floral and Event Professionals in Detroit, agrees that white is the go-to color this year. “Snowflake ornaments, silver orbs and crystal pendants continue to be strong décor items,” he advises. The influence of fresh snow, pure and clean, is a strong image that can be treated as a background for another thematic color or as the primary look. In the traditional setting, it works great with reds and greens.”
