Hollywood Blockbuster: Alex Cross Makes Debut
Hollywood rolled out the red carpet last week for the premiere and after-party for the new thriller flick Alex Cross. There was plenty of talent behind the scenes as well to make sure the event was a blockbuster success.
VeteranChad Hudson Events was tapped by Summit Entertainment to handle logistics for the screening at the Hollywood Arclight Cinerama Dome, followed by a high-caliber after-party at nearby Lure Nightclub. To reflect the intensity and suspense of the film, they brought in light walls to add force to the décor. LED light balls were positioned overhead on special hydraulics, allowing them to move up and down to the music and change colors on demand.
Along Came Mary fueled the catering and bar and florals were provided by Flaming Flower Productions. Classic Party Rentals and Chad Hudson Events Rentals provided additional furniture and tactical support.
The venue’s long curved banquette seating provided a comfortable “loungy” atmosphere for guests. Multiple video walls displayed moving cityscapes to further convey the film’s high-action feel.
The DJ booth was branded with video imaging of the Alex Cross title treatment and the backdrop utilized the film’s marketing artwork. Surrounding floral arrangements were infused with guns and bullet casings to evoke the theme of the movie.
The entrance of the event was a contrast to the urban feel of the main party space. Webbed chairs and tables were paired with greens and oversized ceiling fixtures, and Illuminated furniture outside and green florals inside tied the two spaces together.
